Our Story
The "Mattia Mazza" company was founded in Torre del Greco at the beginning of the twentieth century, at the heart of a tradition that has made this city world-famous for coral processing.
Since then, over one hundred years have passed and four generations have succeeded each other at the helm of one of the sector's historical names. Generations that have been able to preserve and enhance a wealth of experience and craftsmanship.
A historical connection with Japan
Since the very beginning of our business, our relationship with Japan has been a fundamental element of our history. As early as the first years of the twentieth century, our founder Mattia Mazza undertook long journeys to the Land of the Rising Sun to select and purchase the highly prized Japanese coral and the finest pearls. This tradition of research, quality, and direct relationships continues today and represents one of our company's distinctive values.
Heritage
Coral, the precious "red gold" and symbol of Torre del Greco's artistic craftsmanship, has always been and will continue to be the heart of our business.
However, Mattia Mazza also offers pearls, cameos, turquoises, and carefully selected natural gemstones.
